Student interested in the Department of Physics can apply for admission through the following avenues:

1. University entrance exam

2. Application from high school graduates

3. Transfer students from other universities

4. Transfer students from other departments within Fu Jen

1. The results of the university entrance exam are computed on the following subjects: Chinese X1, English X1, Mathematics X2, Physics X2, and Chemistry X1. The total number of students admitted to freshmen classes is 59 for the Physics track and 59 for the Optoelectronics track.

2. Application students are weighed on the written materials and oral exam, with the former accounting 70 percent and the latter 30 percent for the total mark. The written materials should include school transcript with class ranking, autobiography and study plan.

3. Transfer students from other universities for the sophomore year are evaluated by the test results of General Physics and Calculus; transfer students from other universities for the junior year are evaluated by the test results of Applied Mathematics and Electromagnetics; transfer students from other departments within Fu Jen University are evaluated by the result of an oral exam.
